232. MissionCast – Joplin Update – New McKendree UMC

Joplin looks much different today than it did a month ago.  In a record amount of time, most of the debris that was about all you could see has been hauled away.  Without branches upon which to grow new leaves, they are growing out of the  tree trunks.  With the job of rebuilding homes still some distance around the corner our volunteer in mission teams are breaking up concrete foundations and carrying the concrete to the curb.  Occasionally a sub floor has to be removed before the concrete can be busted up.  That is what we found the United Methodist Men from New McKendree, in Jackson doing Thursday afternoon.
