To celebrate the birthday of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and Black History month we are featuring three episodes from the Best of MissionCast.

Every year St. Luke United Methodist Church, in Columbia invites the community to breakfast for their “Poor Man’s Breakfast”.  And then in the evening the community of Columbia participates in a candle light march to St. Luke United Methodist Church for worship.  Click on the picture to see how this annual event unfolds.

St. James UMCWe then go to Kansas City where St. James United Methodist Church always celebrates both Black History Month and the birthday of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. in a variety of ways.  Click here to view another of the Best of MissionCast.

Finally we go across the state to First United Methodist Church, in Webster Groves to listen in on a month-long series held last year called “Conversations About Religion and Race.”  For information about having this conversation in your church call the church at 314-961-4133.
