Life for most of the street children in the slums of Mumbai, India, defies description. Slumdog, is the descriptive word used in the movie that has swept the Golden Globes, the Screen Actor’s Guild Awards and is nominated for 10 Academy Awards. The movie gives us a glimpse into life of street children in those slums. It is next to impossible to view the movie without wanting to reach out to them. The Methodist Church in Mumbai, India is doing just that and so can you.You can support the slum ministry of the Methodist Bombay Regional Conference by giving to any of the following three General Advance Specials of the United Methodist Church.
#3020560 – Talents Intended for Development and Enterprise
#3020515 – Technical Training for Street Children
#212383 – Women Equality and Development of the Community Outreach Program
