SERVE 2011 has produced hundreds of good pictures, stories and videos.  This video comes from Schweitzer United Methodist Church, in Springfield.  Among other projects, the congregation served at Pittman Elementary School.  In this MissionCast principal Laura Batson expresses her appreciation to Schweitzer UMC for their service.

SERVE 2011 gave interested persons an opportunity to visit the prison in Cameron and learn how their congregation might become more involved in prison ministry.  The group met at Aldersgate United Methodist Church in Lee’s Summit.  Senior Pastor Brent Mustoe was one of the persons who accompanied the group.  The prison tour was organized by Rev. Serve 2011 was a grand success.  This past week we have received hundreds of photos and a good number of videos.  This MissionCast is provided by the Lebanon United Methodist Church.  We want to thank Eric Adams for producing it and sending it to us.  Thanks also to Rose Childers who narrates the video.  Rose headed up their SERVE 2011 mission.

SERVE 2011 was an amazing success.  Our thanks to all who worked so hard to make it so.  And, thanks to the photographers and videographers from 35 or so churches who worked late on Saturday or Sunday night to send us material for this MissionCast.  We will devote several MissionCasts to sharing the SERVE 2011 story.  This MissionCast has some of the initial photos and video clips and reflections by Bishop Schnase who was serving at Kingdom House, in St. Louis.
