402. United Methodist Women – Mission in Motion

One of the most colorful aspects of Annual Conference each year is the United Methodist Women’s Walk for Mission. On behalf of women, children and youth around the world, United Methodist Women are all about turning faith, hope and love into action. In 2014 they raised $400,000 for missions.

401. MissionCast – Midwest Distribution Center – Union UMC

Members of the Union United Methodist Church in St. Louis served at the Midwest Distribution Center in Illinois. We want to thank John MacDonald, from Union United Methodist Church, for producing this video and sharing it with MissionCast. This video is 4.5 minutes long, a bit longer than most of our MissionCasts.

400. The Gift Keeps Growing

PET stands for Personal Energy Transportation. A PET is a hand cranked, sturdily built, three wheel vehicle for those who have lost the use of their legs. PETs have not been delivered to 100 different countries around the world. We met up with Gary Moreau, Executive Director of the PET project in Columbia, Missouri to ask about the expansion of PET.

392. MissionCast – A Unique Witness – Rev. Paul Bond

There are many ways we can bear witness in our community to our devotion to Jesus Christ. Few of us though have wood carving talents to witness the way Rev. Paul Bond has this past year when a huge tree had to be cut down in his front yard. We caught up with Paul in front of his home in Independence on a rainy morning to share with you his unique witness to his devotion to Jesus Christ.

372. MissionCast – Hope Swings (Palmyra UMC & Mt. Olivet UMC)

The Palmyra and Mt. Olivet United Methodist Churches recently built swing sets for families with children in Washington, Illinois. Last November a devastating tornado ripped through the town. While houses were rebuilt rapidly play equipment for children were not. So three churches in Illinois started the “Hope Swings” project with the goal of building 100 swing sets in 42 days. This MissionCast tells about Missouri’s participation in “Hope Swings.”
